Taller High Hat

Any one know where I might find a tall high hat? I use a mdl 5000 DW
and it is maxxed out at about 361/2" to the bottom of the bottom
cymbal, and about 42 to the tip of the rod. I thought about trying to
find a longer rod, but that won't help. Is there a tall model out
there somewhere? Thanks.

Is mounting a cable hi-hat to a high thing an option?

I thought someone made a high version.
I knew there are longer rods available. You could get a longer rod and
them just get a longer tube for the top section. If there's a drum shop
in your area, they should have some used stands/parts. Find a stand with
a base section the same diameter as the upper tube on your hat stand.
It's probably 7/8-1". The cymbal cup on top is only held on with one or
two steel roll/spring pins. They are very easy to interchange.
