I haven't done a drum recover in like a dozen years or more. Are there
any new products to remove the old glue? Any ideas on the easiest way
to remove glue would be greatly appreciated. Also, whats the best glue
for applying a crushed glass wrap?

Oh no, the Tape vs Glue thread! lol

If the covering is off, heat gun. If not, be careful. Old cellulose
wrap will burn fast and hot if you set it on fire, and it doesn't take
much heat to get there.

if your going to rewrap id say heat gun, if your going to laquer, oil etc id
say use xylen
