Local pawn shop has a set, it is bright yellow wrap, with the long one
piece lug and sorta looks like a sonor Force lug. Typical syudent
configuration of 12-13-16-22 w/snare, power depths. Any news?

When Sonor first got in bed with Musix (Mapex parent company), all the
Sonor low end and mid-low end stuff started looking like Mapex. Makes me
cringe.

I don't know what it's like, now, but the Mapex hardware from that era,
including the lugs, was absolute crap. I played a lot of those Mapex
kits when I first moved to Nashville, because Mapex gave all the clubs
in town free kits. I didn't play a single kit that didn't have broken
hardware. I'm talking, all the knobs stripped out, the tom mounts are
limp noodles because nothing can be tightened, broken threaded inserts
in the lugs and other stuff.

Oh year, they sound like crap, too.
