Hello everyone, I want to get a new set of Beato drum bags for a new
set of Yamaha's that I am purchasing. I use to have a set of Beato
Pro1 bags and liked them very much. I think the Tolex material that
they use on the Pro1 models are suppose to be more water resistant. I
have also looking at the Cordura line too. Not the Cordura 3 Elite.
They are thinner bags. I like these too and am considering these. I
talked to someone at Beato bags, and they say that they are
redesigning the handles and logo on the newer bags.

Has anyone seen the newer style bags? There website does not show the
newer bags yet and was just trying to get a idea of how they look.
They said over at Beato that they could make them any way that I want.

I've had one the original Pro 1 bags for 16 years now, and it's still going
strong. As far as I can tell, the tolex is waterproof, but the bags seams
are not. All this means to me is that I'm not worried about setting the bag
down on a wet floor if I have to.

I have a number of other bags that I will be replacing, and I think I'm
convinced that I'll go with the Pro 1 bags since the one I have has worked
so well for me.

I haven't seen the new bags, but I thought that the only change was to add
rivets to the where the straps attach to the bag, or something like that. I
could be having a 'senior moment', too.

Sean, what was explained to me is that they sew the handles directly
to the shell of the bag instead of on to the outer edges. I couldn't
get it visualized in my head though how that's going to work for me.
Anyway, the old style is just fine with me.

They told me at Beato that they could make them any way that I want. I
can even have them with no logos on the bags but I kind of like the
logos. They have the staggered logos or the straight bold style with a
drum stick under the logo.

I am thinking about just saving a little bit more and going with the
Beato Pro1 since that's what I had in the past, and like you they
worked just fine for me. If it works, don't fix it. :)

I did check them out. I wouldn't mind having a set of them if they
didn't put those big stupid logos on them with the dude with the
beard. They look very well built though. No, I think I'm going with
Beato Pro1's. I just have to save a little more money from them.
Anyway, I have to get them custom made because of the drum sizes that
I am using. Most companies don't make a 14X18" bass drum size because
of all the gunbarrel bass drums on the market.
