I just received some samples from a company in Canada called Lumigraf. Their
product is not specifically made for drum wrap, but can be used for it. They
use it on lights and walls and all sorts of stuff. Here is their web page:
www.lumigraf.ca. I got a call from the owner today and he is pricing some
wrap for me now. The photos at the site does not do this stuff justice.
There are 2 colors that I have samples of that are just AMAZING. They look
like they are 3d. It literally looks like you can put your finger into the
wrap. He is pricing out a kit for me and will get back to me on Monday. He
said that it is only about 15%-20% more than conventional wrap and they have
pieces large enough where you only need on piece for bass drums. The colors
I like are called Figueras Gold and Figueras Blue. I am going to get some of
the blue for a kit for myself. I don't know about you, but all the
conventional wrap bores the hell out of me and this really excited me. I
normally have been going with Exotic woods for my personal kits, but I'm
putting this over some Keller Vintage shells. I am going to talk to him
about distributing this in the US, so I'll know more Monday, but if you
have a chance, check out the site. As I stated before, the photos do this
stuff about 10% justice. It just POPS at you.

That material is translucent. I wonder what it would look like
putting it on lucite drums with lighting inside. Might be different.
