"Hiromi's trio initially consisted of bassist Mitch Cohn and drummer
Dave DiCenso. In 2004, she recorded her second album Brain with fellow
Berklee alums bassist Tony Grey and drummer Martin Valihora and has
been recording and touring with them ever since. Bassist Anthony
Jackson was guest artist on two "Brain" tracks.

Mauricio is a BADASS. I came across him through a former student's MySpace
page and heard him BURNING on some brazilian jazz stuff... What a musical
player, and amazing dynamic control, and chops to spare! I was compelled to
write him and tell him what I thought of his playing. He replied and was
very gracious and humble.

Thanks for reminding me about him. Last I heard, he was based in NYC. If
he's still here, I have to look him up and see when and where he's gigging.
