I have no idea what the title of this video refers to. It seems to be
a section of Cambodian, Laotian, or Burmese gong and percussion
players. Have a look. It may be of interest to you. It sure is
different then your usual listening, I am sure.

It's from Bali, Indonesia, where I live. There is a label at the
beginning of the video. "Jepun" is frangipani.

beginning of the video. "Jepun" is frangipani.
Ah. Thank you for the additional information. As I do not read
Frangipani, so I must have missed this clue to the clip's origins.
Interesting musical situation there in Bali. Do you ever jam with
these guys? :)

Ubud has a great music scene. Maybe six restaurants will have music
every night. I once heard a group like this doing pop tunes such as
Eric Clapton and it was quite good. We also have possibly the best
jazz trumpeter in the world, Rio Sidik.

And yeah, I did play in a gamelan, though we weren't very good.

Burmese music can be wild too. Sometimes they play without meter. No
time signature at all.
