Hi all

I'm looking for a metronome upgrade.... I had a Yamaha clickstation but
appear to have lost it. I have been giving some thought to the Peterson
BodyBeat. Anyone got any comments? I haven't seen one up close and I'm
concerned about comments I've read saying its useless for drummers as
the vibration is poor. Thoughts appreciated

Cheers

Many pros are moving to phone/tablet apps. There are a couple really
great metronome apps for the droid/iPhone/iPad/iPod touch. Tempo and
Tempo Advance seem to be the front runners. They are very cheap and very
versatile. Given the price of a decent hardware metronome like the
Clickstation, it makes a lot of sense to get a software version and
spend another $50 on an iPod touch or upgrade your phone.

The advantage is that you spend the money and also get a really cool
device to play all your music, surf the net, basically a mini computer,
plus whenever the company improves their metronome, you just download
the improved version for free or next to nothing.

I have two Clickstations and will continue to use them, but I will be
switching to a "app" metronome very soon. I suspect once I do and
discover how easy it is to name and catalog songs and set lists and
change the orders with the flick of a finger, the Clickstation will go
to ebay pretty quick.
