Anyone else have problems dropping sticks because of carpel tunnel syndrome?

I found a product called drummers leash

www.drummersleash.com

I bought a pair, had this weekend off to get used to them. Knock on wood it
seems these may do the trick

Look at the "How It Works" link on the site.

It looks like the perfect blister creation device.

I don't know what's come over me, but I'm looking at this device and
finding myself actually wanting to hear what Rob might have to say about
it. :-)

Which trick, assisting in making your carpel tunnel syndrome worse?

If you're developing CT you need rest.

It isn't dying, there's just so much the regulars can argue about
drumming/equipment (and there aren't too many newbies getting into
drums because Mom/Dad ain't working).

Lighten up, Francis.

Your post does resemble spam, IMO. A device to assist hanging on to
your sticks is... really kinda funny (I never clicked the link).
Anybody can lose a stick, but the perfectly acceptable solution for
decades has been to grab another stick.

IOW, it's a "solved" problem, so any other solution is just a device
intended to address a problem that doesn't exist... or exists only for
drummers who haven't thought of the next-to eternal one and who may
perhaps not know any better than to spend money to solve it.

OTOH, your Google "profile" does not suggest a spammer (but, of
course, anyone can have multiple profiles).

You assume too much. That gizmo is a gimmick. It has nothing to do with
playing the drums. Most of us here have plenty of gigs as well. I bet a few
of the fellers even know how to twirl their sticks without that PoS. What
happens when you break a stick? Can you drop it when it's tied to your
finger?

While I hanging around here waiting I went to the drummersleash site
again.
I was watching the Carmine Appice video.....However...my sound card
went belly up a couple of days ago so I had to read his lips....
I could be wrong but I think he said, "Watch how well I can spin this
stick without using this gizmo."

What the *&^% is that?
As much as I hate dropping a stick, I'd hate the idea I couldn't get rid of
it either.

OK, I understand you use it due to carpel tunnel. I wish you luck with that
because dropping a stick is secondary to the pain. But this is just a
gimmick for kidz who want to look cool spinning the sticks.
