copyright law. A pretty fascinating insight.

Sounds like a pretty standard pattern which I learned way, way back before
samplers. Mitch Mitchell used a very similar pattern in 'Let Me Stand Next
To Your Fire', released in 1967.

Without a spectrograph comparison I don't think I'm willing to accept that
these were all derived from a *sample* of the original recording. There's a
musical influence, but that's just the nature of playing drum kit.

i thought the world's most important drum loop was from the intro to
the Polka Padres' "communion wafer stomp". it is on their "greatest
hits" release (it is a "45").
